If Capcom can make a fucking SERVBOT into a viable character, there shouldn't be any problem with Phoenix Wright.
Yes, I know it seems... unfitting to include Arthur and Firebrand, but when you think about it, they didn't do much in Ghosts N' Goblins. Arthur's only method of attack in that game was to throw weapons at enemies. He didn't have anything else.
As for Firebrand... need I say more? All he ever did in Ghosts N' Goblins was a swoop attack. Granted, it was annoying as hell, but I don't recall him doing anything else.
Yes but Phoenix Wright doesn't fit well into this game as a fighter. This is why the Phoenix Wright fans have to be blamed on for allowing him to be in Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3. When can you get it through that thick skull of yours?
Why is Phoenix in this? Not saying having Ace Attorney characters in the game WON'T make it bad, but wouldn't Fransika VonKarma make a better characters, she would whip anyone who gets in her way? You really think Nick can stand up to Galactus? No.
If feel like a Ace Attorney character might be a "fun" character to play, like Fransika because of her whip, but Phoenix? Why? Because he launched the franchise? The star of a game series that's under 10 years old gets to be in this game of Capcom All Stars vs. Marvel's.... while Megaman a, CAPCOM's poster-boys since the 8-bit days, are no where to be seen.
You see I think what Capcom was going for on characters was to make characters who particularily never get a big chance like this to have a chance in the spotlight. I sort of hate to say that because one of my favorite Capcom characters in this game. Still I'm curious as to what they'll do with Phoenix Wright and Vergil!
Vergil I have nothing against with so he can stay there. But Phoenix Wright I'm furious of and not to mention that Capcom made the most terrible mistake of putting him in this game. He is a disgrace to this game in so many ways that are beyond comprehension. Seriously, what in God's name was Capcom thinking of having Phoenix Wright in the roster?! He's a pacifist lawyer and not a fighter; end of story.
In his own series, I can accept it and respect it. But here is the opposite. Niitsuma stated before this game went into play about the reason why Phoenix Wright wasn't included and it was because that they couldn't come up with a moveset for him and I fear that they are going to run into that problem here in Ultimate MvC 3. It's simple common sense here. If they can't come up with a moveset for a character, then what's the point of having him/her in the roster? He could end up getting yanked out for another Capcom character who can fight. Honestly there are other Capcom characters out there who can really fight such as Jon Talbain, Mega Man X and Gene.
Yeah, Phoenix Wright to me was the biggest mistake I don't mind Frank West, Vergil and Nemesis cause they actually fight in there own games (even though this is Vergil's and Nemesis's first time out of there own games and in something new)and Frank West was already in a fighting game (and I thought he was really good), but I sort of wish they gave Chuck Greene a try instead.
Either way why was Phoenix Wright in this game and not Megaman? Hell if he isn't in this game I sort of hope he'll make an appearance on SSB4! Although I won't lie I'm also sort of curious as to how he'll fight in the game!
At least I'm glad you agree with me there of Phoenix Wright of him not suppose to be in Ultimate MvC 3. At least Frank West, Vergil and Nemesis can fight since they have proven it in their games. As for Mega Man in SSB 4, that is an awesome idea so that hopefully he can join alongside the ranks of other 3rd-party characters such as Solid Snake(if they bring him back in there) and Sonic. ^^
Which is another reason why I can't forgive Capcom for placing Phoenix Wright in there unless if they go beyond and decide to add new DLC characters for Ultimate MvC 3 and we finally see Talbain and X in there. Look at MvC 2, it had 56 characters. I don't see why they can't do it here also or even up to 54 would be fine by me.
No no no I mean they shown Frank playing in MvC3 old engine before the game came out. I mean specifically MvC3. I think it was E3 last year or something like that when they shown gameplay with Frank fighting someone.
Maybe it was a prototype and Capcom decided to cash-in further because they knew MvsC3 would be like SFIV and have little content but release a better edition that'll be filled with patches and DLC and more content (maybe a story) much like SSFIV.
